Zell am See:
The winter sports resort Zell am See is located approx. 100 km southwest of Salzburg on 750 m (above sea level) at the Zeller See in the middle of the Europasportregion Zell am See-Kaprun.
Group accommodation Zell am See:
The group accommodation is located in the district Thumersbach, on the opposite seaside of Zell am See. It can be reached by car and bus, often snow chains can be necessary. The ski bus stops within 1,5 km distance from the house; a public services bus shuttle (against fee) can be arranged on request (then it stops within 200 m distance from the group accommodation). Most of our guests take their own car to the ski bus stop or drive directly to the mountain railways.

Underneath the Kitztsteinhorn with its 3203 m altitude a marvellous skiing region is divided in 3 subareas, inspiring Wolfgang Ambros to write his song "Schifoarn". Every type of skier gets its money's worth, the challenging runs are on the Schmittenhöhe above Zell am See, families and wallowers should use the skiing area at the Maiskogel and above all the glacier high above Kaprun. Especially the skiing region on the Schmittenhöhe above Zell (the mountain railway cityXpress starts in the centre) offers a greaty variety and wonderful rambling donwhill runs. It is worth taking off the skis in the skiregion, whether to enjoy the panoramic view to the surrounding mountains and the snow-covered Zeller See or to get in the mood for the versatile après-ski and entertainment offer in the various huts and ski bars.

Subarea Schmittenhöhe Zell am See:
The largest subarea of the Europarsportregion Zell am See/Kaprun is the Schmittenhöhe. The shuttle gondola City Express starts directly in the centre of Zell. The level of difficulties on the Schmttenhöhe are smoothly spread, the 77 km of runs are divided in equal parts in blue, red and black ski runs.
